Here are a few things you should know about us:
Sunday Worship Service begins each week at 10:30 a.m. God and His Word are the big deal with this local flock. We believe God's Word says what it means, and means what it says. We also believe that prayer is the number one priority in the believer's life. See Ephesians 3:14-21.
We also encourage families to sit together in church, kids and all, for a number of reasons. First, we believe that the Bible calls for all people to worship God and study His Word, no matter their age. Second, we want to help families by giving them similar content so that they can discuss God’s Word when they are at home. Third, we love the beauty, joy, and variety that families bring into our worship services. Last, we love the inter-generational contact that happens through the services, no matter the age or stage of life.
So do we have nursery care? Yes! We provide safe nursery care for infants and toddlers up to three years of age.
Bible Education Hour (Sunday School) Classes meet each week at 9:30 a.m. to study the story of the Bible. Children, teens, and adults enjoy a song time led by the teens of the church before splitting up for their classes.
Wednesday "Family Night" service is at 7:00 p.m. The people who attend Perry Baptist Church are varied in age--from very young to very old. Although we are a small congregation, there are a good number of people who regularly attend (and love) Wednesday night prayer service. We begin each Wednesday night by singing favorite hymns and choruses, followed by a study in Psalms, and then the congregation spends the remaining time in prayer.
